THE IVY ASIA CHALLENGES LONDONERS TO ‘BREAK THE ICE’ IN 60 SECONDS
A spectacular three-metre ice installation lands in Mayfair on Friday 18th September, with prizes waiting to be uncovered as The Ivy Asia celebrates the launch of its new Elements menu.
The Ivy Asia is turning up the heat – while keeping things cool – this Friday, as a spectacular three-metre-tall ice installation arrives in the heart of Mayfair to celebrate the launch of its new Elements Menu: Fire & Ice.
Appearing outside The Ivy Asia Mayfair, the dramatic frozen installation will contain a series of prize cards encased within the ice, with Londoners invited to put their skills to the test and see what they can uncover.
There is just one catch: they’ll have 60 seconds to do it.
Guests and passers-by will each be given one minute to try their hand at breaking through the ice and releasing one of the prize cards hidden inside, with rewards ranging from dining experiences at The Ivy Asia to bottles of Ukiyo Japanese spirits.
Prizes up for grabs will include a meal for two at The Ivy Asia, £100 gift vouchers, bottles of The Ivy Asia Cuvée, cocktails for the table and desserts for the table, alongside bottles from the Ukiyo collection including Ukiyo Japanese Yuzu Gin, Ukiyo Tokyo Dry Gin, Ukiyo Rice Vodka, Ukiyo Nashi Pear Gin and Ukiyo Blossom Gin.
The larger-than-life installation, created in partnership with Ukiyo Japanese Spirits, brings the inspiration behind The Ivy Asia’s new Elements Menu onto the streets of London. A celebration of fire and ice, the new menu combines bold flavours with theatrical tableside moments, inviting guests to experience the contrasting elements throughout their meal.
Priced from £23.95 per person for two courses, the Elements Menu begins with a Lychee Mule, made with Ukiyo Japanese Vodka, Xavéri Ginger, lychee, lime and Fever-Tree Ginger Ale, before a choice of starters including Steamed Chicken Gyoza, Yellowtail Tartare and Sesame Prawn Toast.
For mains, guests can choose from dishes including King Prawn Noodles, Nasi Goreng and Smoked Beef Short Ribs, before turning up the heat with the Flambéed Crème Brûlée, flamed tableside for a suitably dramatic finale. Desserts can be added for an additional £5.
Kate Cooper, Chief Operating Officer at The Ivy Asia, says: “The Elements Menu is all about contrast – fire and ice, intensity and precision – and we wanted to bring that idea to life beyond the restaurant in a way that people could really get involved with. Our three-metre ice installation certainly won’t be easy to miss, and with only 60 seconds on the clock, we’re looking forward to seeing who can keep their cool and uncover one of the prizes inside.”
The Elements Menu is available at The Ivy Asia restaurants* Sunday – Wednesday 11:30am – Close and Thursday & Friday 11:30am – 6pm priced from £23.95 per person for two courses.
The three-metre Elements ice installation will appear at The Ivy Asia Mayfair on Friday 18th September from 07:00, with guests and passers-by over the age of 18 invited to take part while prizes remain available.
